"Racist Hunger Games Fans Are Very Disappointed"

In this blog, I will talk about Jezebel's article, Racist Hunger Games Fans Are Very Disappointed by Dodai Stewart, about the novel, Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I will summarize her article and give my own opinion and reaction about it and about the racist fans of hunger games.
In her article, she discussed that it was a good news that "Hunger Games made $155 million at the box office its opening weekend"; however, there have been some issues going on made by the Hunger Games's fans. A lot of white people are other fans haven't expect that there will be black actors like, Rue, Thresh, and Cinna, that will be playing some parts in the movie. The racist fans got disappointed about it. It's been a controversy of why did the producer made the good characters black, wherein back in the reality they said that, "Good people cannot possibly be black. Black people are villainous", and that it "ruined" the movie. The fans was upset and even admitted that it was so dramatic in the book and was disappointing in the movie wherein they haven't even feel any sympathy on Rue's death in the movie while they even cried when they read the book. Their reactions of loving the book and the characters behind it, where all turn "on feelings of disgust" after watching the movie.
It was just sad and makes me feel mad to those people that don't even care about black people, not just because of the movie, but also in the reality, that even the War ended about racism there are still a lot of racist who thinks that they are superior over any other race wherein they should always considered over anyone else especially over black people.

Assignment #3: The Hunger Games

In this blog, I am going to discuss about my final assignment, "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. In this assignment, I am required to chose a character from the play, excluding Katniss Everdeen, and write about their own perspective. I must write about the character that I chose to be the first person in my writing and to write at least one major scene that is in the novel and to create an imagined scene that is not in the novel.
In my assignment, I chose to write about Peeta Mellark's point of view, Katniss' chosen tribute in their district. I will write about the existing scene which I think matters is when he admit that he has crush on Katniss and the last part where they were in the Cornucopia with Cato, another tribute from District , and the imagined scene will be when they are still in their district and what he thinks about Katniss, the feeling that he has even before they've been in the Games. I will write about the real feeling of Peeta about Katniss, what he thinks overall about the Hunger Games, and how is his relationship with family. I am challenge to put myself or think like a guy which is Peeta Mellark, and to imagine things that he might be thinking.
